The Valet Magazine App Brings Men's Fashion To The iPad

February 14, 2011
When it comes to men and fashion, the iPad hasn’t been very welcoming. Sure, GQ has a nice looking app, as does Dress Shirt Designer. Beyond those, most of the fashion apps have catered to females only. The Valet Magazine app hopes to change this. Created by Valet Media LLC, the app provides timely news and stories on style, grooming, and culture for men. In addition to providing articles available at Valetmag.com, the app also includes unique features. These include the Local Concierge, which helps men find Valet-endorsed services such as tailors and dry cleaners in 100 U.S. cities. In addition, the app includes a Personal Dossier, which teaches users how to take their own measurements and save them via the app.

The Handbook is a thorough reference guide. It offers helpful tips, last-minute tricks and creative instructions.

Other distinctive features include a Size Converter, Shop Talk, and a video hub called Play. As a fashion novice, I found The Valet Magazine inviting. Its clean interface is impressive and the topics presented are comprehensive. The Valet Magazine app proves that fashion isn’t just for females. Best of all, it is free and available today in the App Store. A free iPhone/iPod touch version is also available as a separate download.
