GarageBand Runs On iPhone Thanks To New Hack

April 27, 2011
One Apple fan has managed to port GarageBand over to his iPhone 4, thanks to the new hack we told you about recently. The hack, which allows jailbreak fans to run iPad apps on the iPhone or iPod touch, involves the iTelePod2Pad Mac app, and OpenSSH - which is available via Cydia. For a specific set of instructions, head over to ModMyi. Interestingly, using this tweak one Apple fan has managed to port GarageBand over to his iPhone 4. However, as you can see in the video (which we've embedded below), the results aren't breathtaking: Even though the app doesn't crash all that much, it clearly isn't optimized for the iPhone 4. A recentĀ patent application suggested that Apple might be developing an iPhone optimized version of GarageBand. Personally, I think we'll see a universal GarageBand app become available in the future. It could even be announced at WWDC, along with iOS 5. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
