This one is a warm, fuzzy, quirky app. I love chocolate as much as the next gal. When I was in Vegas, I made a point of going to the end all, be all, of chocolate factories–the Ethel M Factory. There are beautiful chocolate quotes everywhere, and there was chocolate. Lots and lots of chocolate. I was blissfully in heaven.
I would have loved to have an app that I could take through the factory with me. I really, truly would have. This app would have been perfect. It has a glossary of chocolate terms and you can make cross-references. The app can work offline, and you can bookmark for easier reference. The only way this chocolate app gets cooler is if it were made of chocolate or offered a scratch-n-sniff version.
The app even outlines the different components of the various types of chocolate and how to make some of them. With over 300 glossary terms, this is something that chocolate lovers could pour over and pull back up once they find a new sort of chocolate to fawn over. If you forget the term you’re looking for, there’s a search engine built into the app. So, kick back, open up a Hershey bar, and let a little bit of light chocolate reading commence.
