Cuptakes – wallpapers for the girly girls ($0.99) by Finely InTouch LLC is the perfect wallpaper app for girly girls everywhere. I am pretty girly myself, and I love to dress up my iDevices with pretty wallpapers. I have downloaded many, many wallpaper apps and sifted through their offerings to find a few feminine wallpapers worth keeping. Cuptakes is all feminine designs, all the time, with more being added all the time.
Cuptakes is universal, so you buy it just once and you get wallpapers designed specifically for each iDevice. Coordinate your home screen and your lock screen on your iPhone, your iPad, and your iPod touch in the same color scheme and pattern! Although there are single designs, most of the designs are meant to be used as a set. For example, use a calendar design for your lock screen and the coordinating design for your home screen. Or, use one wallpaper for your lock screen and the coordinating icon frame wallpaper for your home screen. Now, there is even a Mac app (purchase separately in the Mac App Store), so you can coordinate your computer as well.
Unlike many wallpaper apps, Cuptakes does not simply pull pictures from the internet. Each design is carefully created by the graphic artist/developer of this app. It takes time to create each one, so there are not thousands to choose from. At the moment, there are 170 on the iPhone/iPod touch and 172 on the iPad, but the developer is committed to adding more art roughly once per month. She also tells me that a future update will display the wallpaper in categories, such as Calendar Themes, Holidays, Polka Dots, Icon Holders, Shelves, and Patterns.
I usually download a wallpaper app, save a few wallpapers, and then discard the app. I’ll be holding on to Cuptakes, and looking forward to each update.
