AppAdvice has teamed up with Magellan to offer you directionally challenged iPhone owners a chance to win one of three promo codes for Magellan RoadMate USA ($34.99).

If you haven’t noticed by now, a lot has changed since the last time we held a giveaway for any of Magellan’s navigation apps for iPhone. The company’s entire suite of apps have been updated to version 2.0, bringing with them a variety of additions and notable changes. Most importantly, all three apps feature a brand new user interface, providing you with quick access to both new and old features, simple multitouch map navigation, and even more map viewing room thanks to the new collapsible dashboard.

Magellan RoadMate's POI Search

The collapsible dashboard provides you with quick access to the main menu, where you can enter an address, lookup history, change settings, add contacts, and search for POIs. It also displays your current speed, distance remaining, elevation, heading, travel time remaining, and estimated time of arrival. Every one of these items can be toggled through by simply tapping on one of the three icons in the dashboard.

All three RoadMate apps also now include full Yelp and Google integration. Through the POI search option, you can choose to utilize either service to discover local restaurants, entertainment, shopping, and much more. Once you have found what you are looking for, you can simply have RoadMate take you there, or you can read all about your chosen destination via results provided by Google or jump into the Yelp app to learn a little more.

These new features go great with all of RoadMate‘s previous ones, including  turn-by-turn directions, lane assistance, real-time traffic alerts, full multitasking support, and last but not least, lifetime map updates.
