Following the release of redsn0w for iOS 5, @iH8sn0w has released a new version of sn0wbreeze, which also supports the first beta version of Apple’s upcoming software update. The news hit the Web hours ago, via @iH8sn0w’s Twitter account.

As outlined in sn0wbreeze’s release notes, the jailbreak tool supports the following devices:

  • iPhone 3GS
  • iPhone 4 [GSM]
  • iPhone 4 [CDMA]
  • iPod Touch 3G
  • iPod Touch 4
  • iPad 1G

If you’re interested in using the redsn0w alternative, simply head over to this website for download links: http://ih8sn0w.com/sb28b1. Obviously, a pre-release version of iOS 5 is required – which is why these jailbreak solutions are for developers only. The good news for us, however, is that this means jailbreak developers can get to work creating some Notification Center widgets for us all to enjoy, when the final version of iOS 5 becomes available.
