Weave (Free) by Intuit, Inc. is a beautiful task management app that is fast and simple.

Yes, there are plenty of to-do apps out there. For the most part, they all do the same thing, but some are better than others, and in the end, it's all about personal preference. However, there's a new one that was just recently released, and it's worth talking about. Say hello to Weave.

To use Weave, you'll first have to create an account. This will ensure that your data is saved on their servers and will always be accessible if you remember your login credentials. Once the account is set up, it's time to get productive.

Weave will guide you through the basic steps with a tutorial to get you started. This tutorial is very helpful, but overall, using Weave is pretty easy.

The main screen will be "My Day." Here, you will be able to view all of your tasks for the day, including overdue tasks. It's all under "What I Need To Do," so it gives you a sense of what's important, depending on the tasks you put in it. If any of the tasks you have are related to a project, Weave will show you what project you must work on today as well.

You'll notice two buttons at the top of the My Day screen. One will take you to the "home screen" of Weave, with various views. The other is to add a new item.

When you add a new item, you will be given four choices: Todo, Project, Expense, or Income.

Entering in a new Todo will take you to a screen to fill in the details of the task and any notes you have for it and a due date and time. If you want to add it to a project, you can do that as well. Additionally, you can track the time you spend on a particular task.

When adding a new Project, you'll just be prompted to give it a name. Income and Expenses can be tracked for any projects as well, which is a nice touch if you should be reimbursed or the like.

When you mark an item as complete by tapping the check mark, Weave will ask you about the task. You can enter in how long the item took, and any income or expense as a result of it. If none of these apply, just hit "I'm Done" or "Never Mind!" to cancel.

The home screen of Weave will feature large icons that will take you to different views in the app. The views are: My Day, Projects, Todos, Income, Settings, Expenses, and Feedback.

The Settings is where you want to go to do things like change your account, export your data via email, and even have a daily alert. The daily alert will be a notification at the beginning of the day.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to set what time this daily alert comes up. I just woke up and it appeared around 9 a.m. There's nothing in the app settings nor in the device settings. The developers really should allow customization of when this alert should appear, because it isn't of much use without the option to set the time.

If you're looking for a quick and simple way to see what your tasks are for the day, then Weave is a great option. For those that need a desktop counterpart, then Weave may not be for you.

Weave is free, so why not try it out and let us know what you think?
