Whether you’ve already seen it, or plan on heading out yet tonight or just waiting to view it this weekend; we’d like to remind fans to check out the official iOS game for Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Take the role of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee as they help save Earth, Autobots, and the human race from the next destructive sequence of events brought on by the Decepticons’ intent to control the universe. Alternating roles of the two main characters, fight your way through 13 levels of action to come upon five of the toughest Decepticons of the group.

Between your missions, get immersed in the story through comic book-style cutscenes. Find out what critical information humans have kept from the Autobots about the past, and what it now means for the future. The action will include racing down highways while firing away at occasional enemies until you must quickly morph into robot form to take on hordes of Decepticon foes, and much more.

Initially equipped with their default weapons, such as Bumblebee’s plasma cannon and mortar launcher, you can unlock more powerful weapons and upgrade them to their full potential. Weapon and character upgrades affect both Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.

The game controls consist of a left virtual joystick for general movement and a right virtual joystick for aiming — the typical “dual-stick shooter.” Additional virtual buttons allow for weapon select, roll, and form change — from robot to alternate and vice-versa. There are three levels of difficulty to choose from, plus the option to enable an automatic aiming system.
