Firemint's Agent Squeak Gets A New Name, New Teaser Trailer

July 12, 2011
Firemint's often teased but never shown third original iOS title, Agent Squeak, has been given a new, much less catchy name: SPY mouse. The now EA-owned developer has also released a brand new teaser trailer for the unreleased game. Although the title of the game has changed, the main character and premise remain the same. In SPY mouse, you will play as Agent Squeak, an undercover mouse who must outwit cunning felines to recover every last piece of his missing cheese. The game will feature a sort of stealth-based line-drawing mechanic, allowing you to nab pieces of cheese, power-ups, and tackle elaborate traps with little effort. It will also include a total of 70 levels across six worlds.
SPY mouse is the third big original title from Firemint,” said Rob Murray, Director of Firemint. “It's simple, compelling and surprisingly deep. SPY mouse is a really big deal for us, which is why it has been two years in the making. We wanted to get it just right, and we think it will be the must-have iPhone game for 2011.”
SPY mouse should be hitting the App Store sometime this summer at a yet-to-be announced price. Feel free to check out the new teaser trailer below, and make sure to keep an eye on the site in case Firemint decides to actually give us a glimpse of SPY mouse's gameplay.
