The popular Instagram iPhone app has recently received a minor update, improving social network sign-ins and the application’s performance.
As outlined in the application’s release notes, changes made in the latest version of the app (1.8.6) include:
- Improvements to Facebook sign-in
- Changes to Foursquare sign-in
- Bug fixes & performance tweaks
While this isn’t too much to get excited about, it’s good to see Instagram getting consistent updates, even if they are minor updates. Recently, the photo sharing application received a similar minor update. Although, something Instagram fans should get excited about isn’t necessarily updates to the Instagram app, but updates that add Instagram export support to other iPhone applications. Back in May, 100 Cameras in 1 was updated, adding the ability to export to Instagram. It would be great to see more applications receive this feature in an app update.
Currently, the Instagram iPhone app is available to download for free in the App Store. Take a look at the latest version, and let us know if you’re an Instagram fan in the comments.
