Take Control Of Your Kids Movies Remotely With Two iOS Devices

July 6, 2011
Want help in controlling the movies your kids watch on your iPad? Unique App LLP has developed Movie Remote Kids, which is now available in the App Store for $2.99. This app will allow the user to completely control the movie that is showing on the iPad by using another iOS device such as an iPhone or iPod touch. If both devices are on the same iTunes account, you will only need to purchase the app once. The app works as both the controller and the player. Movie Remote Kids provides a helpful tool for parents when they need to control the movie on an iDevice, but are not in the same area or room. If your kids are in the back seat of the car, you can change the volume, rewind or skip ahead, all with the iPhone in the front seat. (Of course, not while driving!) Some of the features include: a playlist with a library of your movies, play, pause, skip and stop functions, and volume controls. There is also a confirmation of your selected action so you don’t disturb the movie playback inadvertently. The devices will work together using either Bluetooth or a local Wi-Fi network. The movies need to be loaded into the app via your computer in order for Movie Remote Kids to work. Unfortunately, this is due to Apple’s restrictions. Movie Remote Kids has an update pending with Apple, which will allow you to resume playback from where you left off and the ability to enable controls on the player itself. If you want to remotely take charge of your kid’s movie viewing, Movie Remote Kids provides a solution. Check out the video below to see more on how to load movie files into Movie Remote Kids.
