Entertainment Weekly, InStyle Among 17 New Magazines Coming To iPad

August 4, 2011
Time Inc. announced on Wednesday that all of its 21 magazines would be coming to the iPad before the end of the year. Titles, which include Entertainment Weekly, InStyle, and Coastal Living, will also be available on Android, the HP TouchPad, and Barnes & Noble Nook, according to news first reported by the Apple Insider. Best of all, current print subscribers will be able to access the digital copies for free. According to Maurice Edelson, executive vice president and a member of Time Inc.'s interim management committee:
"Now is the time for us to make this bold commitment. In the coming year, there will clearly be many more consumers using tablets, accelerating demand for content and driving advertiser interest. We are putting ourselves in a great position to take advantage of these opportunities. "Having our entire portfolio available on tablets will create a significant new digital reach for our advertisers."
Currently, Fortune, People, Time and Sports Illustrated are available via the iPad. These will soon be joined by All You, Coastal Living, Cooking Light, Entertainment Weekly, Essence, Golf Magazine, Health, InStyle, Money, People en Espanol, People StyleWatch, Real Simple, Southern Living, Sports Illustrated Kids, Sunset, This Old House, and Time For Kids.
