Two Logitech accessories for the iPad were recently highlighted by our friends at TechCrunch. Both look like terrific products, so we thought we’d give our readers a look at them as well.
The first is the Logitech Fold-Up Keyboard for iPad 2. Available soon in the U.S. and Europe, this is really a two-in-one iPad stand and Bluetooth keyboard dock. It also is said to work just fine with Apple’s Smart Cover, which could be important for many iPad 2 owners.
While TechCrunch seems to like this accessory, it isn’t in love with its price of $129.99. On this, we tend to agree.
The next item is the Logitech Joystick for iPad, which is perfect for when you are playing an iPad game that requires a joystick or D-pad. These items are essentially see-through suction cups that work as promised without taking up value screen real estate.
Still, these joysticks look almost exactly like the well-respected Fling Game Controllers for iPad which debuted at this year’s E3 conference. That isn’t a bad thing; rather it’s a point worth mentioning.
These are priced at $19.99. Again, they’ll be available next month.
We’ll keep you updated to the growing list of accessories coming out this fall for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. Most likely, you’ll see quite a few debuting ahead of the important gift-buying season.
