Outrun The Giant Snowball And Avoid Obstacles In Snowball Run
Snowball Run ($0.99) by Clickgamer.com is a fast-paced action game that will definitely keep you on your feet ... running.
You're a yeti, who apparently has a runny nose, but a cute runny nose nonetheless, and you must outrun a snowball twice your size before it runs you over, turning you into a frozen corpse.
First things first, click the introduction button on the start screen. It's short, sweet, and our yeti friend is too cute with snot hanging from his nose. Poor guy.
As you begin, the in-game tutorial will explain exactly what you must do. The goal is to last as long as you can and completely outrun the enormous snowball that is frighteningly closing in on your heels. Try to get the best score and save the yeti from death by snowball.
You will come across rocks, birds, yaks, trees — and many other nuisances — just make sure to get them all out of your way, and out of the snowball's way. Each item is either collected by the yeti or moved out of the way by some sort of gesture. To move, just tilt your device from side to side, collecting powerups and avoiding other obstacles in the process.
Not every moveable item is removed in the same manner either. Tap, swipe, wiggle, and flick the obstacles out of your way as quickly as you can. If you don't collect the powerups (ice cream cones and health kits) or get rid of the other hurdles, the snowball will eat them up and grow even larger. Eventually, it grows so large that it completely engulfs the yeti. By that time, I'm sorry to say, it's game over.
There are no levels, but there is Game Center support. You can play over and over, trying to top the leader boards and earn new achievements. The longer you last, the more barriers are introduced, and the harder it gets.
Snowball Run is both challenging and exciting. It's currently for the iPhone only and only $0.99 in the App Store.
