Tap Tap Glee (Free) by Tapulous, Inc. is the newest offering from the Tap Tap Revenge franchise. Are you a Gleek? If so, then you cannot miss this game!

By now, I think everyone with an iPhone or an iPod Touch knows how to play the Tap Tap games. Basically, you poise your fingers over three dots. Music plays, and as the balls come down the “slides” onto the dots, you tap them. Of course, there are power ups and bonuses and different skill levels you can play. Game Center Achievements will motivate you to improve your scores.

Tap Tap Glee comes with three tracks to begin with: Rachel/Finn duet “Don’t Stop Believin’”, Mercedes’ “Hell To The No”, and Brittany/Artie duet “My Cup”. A new promo track will be offered each day. In addition, you can purchase other tracks, which are bundled into groups by theme. For example, the “Sounds of the 60’s” bundle contains the tracks “You Keep Me Hangin’ On” and “She’s Not There” and costs $.99 or 100 credits. Or, you could buy “The Rocky Horror Glee” pack which contains six songs for $2.99 or 300 credits.

You can earn credits by completing certain offers. I earned 13 credits by “liking” Tapulous on Facebook. This was the only free offer at the time, though I assume more will be added at some point. The other offers, like signing up for Netflix for 1008 credits, are definitely not free. I suppose if you were planning to purchase any of those items anyway, it might be worthwhile to do it here and get the “credits”.

In addition to the game, access the McKinley High Yearbook, with bios and photos of each of the show’s stars. Also, the app acts a sort of Glee portal on YouTube -- watch performances from the show, backstage interviews, trailers, and exclusive clips. This app also allows you to connect with other Gleeks via a live tweet wall and “Gleeks vs. Jocks” on Facebook.

Tap Tap Glee is free, but there are ads (both banner and pop-up) and plenty of in-app purchases to tempt you to spend your money. But if you’re a fan of the show, you’ll definitely going to need to download this app. If you don’t, then you just may be in need of a slushie facial!
