At its core, Rise of the Urban Eagle is a storybook app that tells the tale of a pigeon that is able to distinguish an entire species with a single courageous act. The story features a clear life lesson and is intended for children ages 5-12. The story can be read all alone, or your child can follow along with the narrator. Some of the vocabulary words contained within the story can be a bit challenging, but those words are highlighted with a blue underline and, when tapped on, will display definitions along with sample sentences.
To keep your children coming back for more, BaaS Publications have included additional ways to interact with the world of the pigeons. Children can try to discover and tap on hot spots inside of the storybook, which adds another dimension to the storyline and characters.
Rise of the Urban Eagle also includes three different mini-games. Word Find, as you would expect, requires your child to hunt down and highlight words from the story. Seed Eater is all about speed and coordination, requiring your child to tap on all of the seeds on the ground as quickly as possible. City Maze is a tilt-based game where your child must guide the hero of the story through the maze and to the exit. All three games include three levels of difficulty.
