Now that we are moving into fall, all the anticipated summer rumors about Apple’s new lineup are about to be exposed. We are beginning to get more concrete evidence of an upcoming Apple event.
According to 9to5 Mac, Apple Store employees have begun training for iOS 5 and iCloud using Apple’s new internal application, RetailMe. Going back to past theories, Apple usually trains their employees on new software a couple of weeks prior to its launch.
Generally, Apple launches new operating systems right around the same time as new hardware, so it appears everything is on track for some exciting news soon. This information about the employee training supports the rumors of an early October release for the iPhone 5. Apple’s iCloud service should launch at the same time, since the software is integrated into iOS 5 and the new iPhone.
However, if Apple had stuck to its usual rotation and pattern, we would have already seen a new iPhone by now. No one knows what Apple has planned for this fall, but it is nice to hear employees are being trained on the software. Most likely, that would not be done too far ahead of the release.
