DrawRace 2 Speeds Into The App Store, Where Unique Racing Meets Maturity

September 2, 2011
Created by RedLynx and published by Chillingo, DrawRace 2 is the awaited sequel to RedLynx's unique racing game developed exclusively for iOS. Providing enhanced graphics, sounds, physics, game modes, and more, it's no wonder "Racing Evolved" was chosen as the marketing tagline for such a successor. The most obvious difference of DrawRace 2 versus DrawRace is a complete 3-D graphics engine instead of the previous 2-D only rendering. DrawRace 2 also contains over 50% more tracks then the original, supports up to four racers in local multiplayer, uses Game Center for online friend challenges, includes four daily changing showdowns in the World League, and several different car types. Even though DrawRace 2 uses the same unique draw mechanism to control your vehicle's driving path, a couple additions make this version notably more difficult. Foremost, there are now 180 challenges spread across five tiers to conquer in career mode: Rookie, Talent, Pro, Champion, and Elite. To participate in a higher tier, you must earn a certain number of gold medals within the lower tier. Of course, each tier is tougher than the last. The second inclusion is an acceleration control item, Turbo Boost, which is basically another way of saying your car now has nitrous oxide. Not an important component when it comes to Rookie and Talent races, however, mastering when to precisely use Turbo Boost is an essential part of achieving gold medals in top tiers. Whether a newcomer or longtime fan, DrawRace 2 adds plenty of great content and features to an already exciting and unique game that anyone who fancies strategic racing action should buy. DrawRace 2 is designed for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or later, and available in the App Store for $.99. DrawRace 2 HD is compatible with iPad running iOS 3.2 or later, and available in the App Store for $2.99. [gallery link="file" columns="4"]
