SwitchballHD, An Innovative And Creative Puzzle Game
SwitchballHD ($0.99) by Drippy Cat Software Limited is a puzzle game unlike any you have played before. You must figure out the best way to keep your life water from draining or lose your virtual marbles.
The game board is a series of columns. Each column is numbered. There is a row of colored balls, waiting to be put into play and there are platforms, called switches, peppered throughout the board. When you tap a number at the top of a column a ball will drop. The goal is to get that ball to land in the pipe below. When you do, your life water is replenished. On its way down, the ball may be stopped by a switch. You can move the switch by dropping another ball in the column right next to it. This will trigger a lever on the side of the switch that will lift it up, disposing of the ball. The ball will then fall to its next destination, which will either be the pipe at the bottom, or another switch. You must maintain ball drops in a timely manner or your life water will diminish. Once the life water is gone, your game is over. You gain extra points and an extra life for multiple drops in one round.
You can play this game as a single player, or head-to-head in two-player mode. In two-player mode, you only have two colors of balls, red and blue. Your goal is to drop balls that represent your color into the pipes. If you drop a ball for the opposing team into a pipe, they will gain life water and you won’t.
SwitchballHD is an amazingly creative puzzle game. It is both simple and challenging at the same time. The mechanics are simple, but in order to make it to the next level, you must strategize your moves to find the best route for gaining the most life water. At a mere $0.99, you will get your money’s worth, and then some.
