Twitter And Tweetbot App Updated With iOS 5 Twitter Integration

October 11, 2011
Tomorrow might very well be the last time you have to enter your Twitter credentials into your iOS device. Or at least you'll never have to do it again with your favorite Twitter clients, as both the official Twitter app, as well as Tweetbot have now been updated to support iOS 5. Indeed, in iOS 5, Apple allows users to setup Twitter once in the settings app, and then let each app directly sign in through iOS;  you won't be required to enter your credentials anymore. Instead, you'll just get a popup asking if you're ok with it, and you'll be good to go. Developers need to update their apps to take advantage of it, but it's extremely convenient for users as entering credentials on a mobile device is a pain. Twitter for iOS is available on the App Store free of charge, as for Tweetbot, you can get it on the iPhone for $2.99.
