iOS Apps Gone Free: Luminance, Zombie Scramble, BeatPad, And More

BeatPad ($6.99 → Free, 196.1 MB): Record funky beats no matter where you are with this feature-rich music app. You can create songs by tapping on the screen to record a drum track, and then record music over your drums (up to eight tracks per song). Each song can include multiple sections for hooks, verses, and bridges as well. The app also includes automatic note syncing, professional sound banks, four channel music sequencing, the ability to add lyrics, and the ability to upload your files directly to YouTube or Facebook.

BeatPad is available for free for a limited time. It has a 3.5-star rating with a total of 418 ratings.

Zombie Scramble ($0.99 → Free, 18.5 MB): Play as a wide-eyed rabbit and try to save the children from a zombie attack by lobbing egg bombs at them in this arcade game. You're able to launch egg bombs by simply dragging your finger across the screen to change the power and trajectory of your shot. The game includes three modes, a wide variety of zombies to take out, and Game Center integration.

Zombie Scramble is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 388 ratings.

How to Draw-Full Version ($1.99 → Free, 31.4 MB): Follow along with step-by-step audio and visual instructions to learn how to draw 11 different objects and creatures with this education app. The app includes customizable brush sizes, an eraser, 10 colors to choose from, multitouch controls, and the ability to share drawings via email.

Luminance ($0.99 → Free, 2.2 MB): Edit and enhance your favorite photos with this beautifully designed photography app. Each of the 19 filters can be edited in a variety of ways, giving you almost unlimited control over the process. The app includes the ability to reorder your adjustment layers, copy edits from a photo and apply them to others, view history, crop and rotate, and share your photos via Facebook, Twitter, or email.

Cyclix ($0.99 → Free, 7.3 MB): This matching puzzle game requires you to connect glowing dots of the same color to remove them from the play area. The thing is, not only do you have to complete the connection cycle to remove dots, but you also have to make sure that the bolts of light connecting them don't collide with dots of a different color. The game includes four modes, nifty particle effects, and Game Center integration.

Cyclix is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 114 ratings.

Stupid Zombies ($0.99 → Free, 16.9 MB): Your job is to take out all of the brainless zombies in each level using a limited number of shotgun bullets in this physics-based puzzle game. Bullets will ricochet off of walls and objects for a little while, so wait a moment or two after you fire your shot to conserve your ammo. The game features star ratings for each of the 600 levels, and Game Center integration.

Stupid Zombies is available for free today only (11/23). It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 18537 ratings.

U.S. Traveller ($1.99 → Free, 2.0 MB): Traveling to a different country this holiday season? Then we have the app for you. U.S. Traveller provides you with detailed information regarding the country your traveling to. It includes travel reports and warnings for over 200 nations worldwide, demographics, history, political climate and economy overviews, and full rules and regulations.

Gun Master ($0.99 → Free, 6.2 MB): Blast your way through 30 levels as the Gun Master in this side-scrolling shooter. You're able to control your character using on screen controls, including a shooting stick on the right side of the screen that allows you to aim in all directions. Enemies will continue to attack you from all angles until you drop the last one in each level. The game includes two modes, multiple weapons to pick up from dead enemies, and Game Center integration.

Gun Master is available for free for a limited time. It has a 3-star rating with a total of 160 ratings.
