Today On Festivus: DataMan Pro And Shadowgun
On the 15th day of Festivus we're giving away XVision's super handy DataMan Pro for iPhone and iPad, and Madfinger Games' gorgeous Shadowgun for iPhone and iPad. An app for those with limited data plans [caption id="attachment_255884" align="alignright" width="200" caption="How much?!"][/caption] Are you constantly in fear of going over your data limit for the month? With DataMan Pro, you can fear no more! This ultimate weapon against data overage charges tracks your usage in real-time and puts it in table or chart form, so you'll never be left wondering how much you've burned through. The app's biggest selling point, however, is its ability to fire off a push notification whenever you get close to exceeding your limit. DataMan Pro also allows you to export and analyze data usage and locations on your computer, giving you a chance to compare it side-by-side with your carrier's bill and see if they're trying to pull a fast one on you. DataMan Pro for iPhone is available for $1.99, and DataMan Pro for iPad is available for $3.99. A game where you get to become a bounty hunter [caption id="attachment_255886" align="alignright" width="300" caption="Almost too pretty to shoot. Almost."][/caption] Shadowgun is one of the few mobile games that proves you don't need a dedicated console to be a true gamer. This beauty of a third-person shooter has you playing as John Slade, the baddest bounty hunter in the business, and your job is to hunt down the evil Dr. Edgar Simon and take down his mutant army. Slade is not only equipped with state-of-the-art weapons, he also has a personal android assistant to keep him company and show him the way. Shadowgun isn't an all-out shoot fest, however, as the game is nicely broken up with some hacking mini-games. It's probably worth noting that since Shadowgun is so very easy on the eyes, it may not run as well as you would hope if you're still sporting a 3GS. You've been warned! You can also follow Madfinger Games on Facebook and Twitter to receive news and updates for Shadowgun. Shadowgun for iPhone and iPad is available for $4.99.
