iOS Apps Gone Free: Printed Ink, CheeseMan, Superstar Chefs, And More

Take a closer look at human culture by discovering how often certain words were used in books over the last 500 years with Rad Rhino's neat reference app, Printed Ink. The game features easy to grasp on-screen controls, so you'll be running and jumping off of walls to avoid obstacles in no time. The game includes three worlds, 42 levels, power-ups, and Game Center integration.

Posterize ($0.99 → Free, 4.1 MB): This photography app allows you to create custom two- or three-colored posterized photos. It includes the ability to set thresholds for shadows, mid-tones, and highlights along with the ability to pick different colors for each one. Images can be exported at the max resolution of 2592x2592.

PhotoTangler Collage Maker ($1.99 → Free, 800.1 KB): This simple yet easy to use photography app allows you to create beautifully blended collages in mere moments. You can snap new photos from within the app or import them from your library, and then rearrange them by simply tapping and dragging. You can also change the size and fade strength of each photo by pinching and pulling with your fingers. The app allows you to overlay text as well.

PhotoTangler Collage Maker is available for free today only (01/03). It has a 4-star rating with a total of 88 ratings.

Superstar Chefs ($0.99 → Free, 15.0 MB): Take control of a chef in search of fruit in this platform game from Donut Games. You need to collect a specific number of fruit to complete each level, and the more you collect in a single jump, the higher your score. Enemies can be disposed of by simply jumping on their heads. The game includes 64 levels, three control types, and Game Center integration.

Superstar Chefs is available for free for a limited time. It has a 3-star rating with a total of 14632 ratings.

Kunundrum ($0.99 → Free, 16.8 MB): This challenging puzzle game requires you to get each colored orb into its respective goal in as few moves as possible. Orbs can be moved with a simple flick of your finger, but keep in mind they will keep moving until they run into a wall. The game includes 150 levels, progressive difficulty, and Game Center integration.

Kunundrum is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 250 ratings.

1TapVideo - Instant Video recording ($0.99 → Free, 1010.2 KB): Start recording video on your iDevice within seconds with this photography app. The moment you tap the icon a three second timer will begin, giving you a moment to get things settled before the app starts recording. You can also tap on the large shutter button at the bottom to cancel the timer and start recording immediately. The app includes auto-focus, tap to focus, torch, and the ability to record video at up to 720p.

1TapVideo - Instant Video recording is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 13 ratings.

Blockado Mountain ($0.99 → Free, 18.9 MB): The third title in the Blockado sliding puzzle game series. The game requires you to drag blocks all around the screen in order to free up the many different treasures trapped within them. It includes 60 challenging puzzles, undo and redo, an adjustable camera, the ability to create and share your own puzzles, and Game Center integration.

Blockado Mountain is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 117 ratings.

Printed Ink ($0.99 → Free, 6.3 MB): This beautifully crafted reference app allows you to analyze social history by discovering how frequently specific words appeared in books over the last 500 years. You're able to search for multiple words at a time by separating them with commas in the search field, and then watch the data come to life on a color-coded graph. Searches can be favorited for later viewing, or you can share them with friends via email.

Printed Ink is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 20 ratings.
