Save Humanity In Beat Enigma
Beat Enigma - Crack the code, hack into the machine and save the world ($0.99) by Start Fruit Labs puts you in a race against time to save the world. Enigma is a super computer that controls all of the machines that control all of humanity. Its one weakness is that it can easily be destroyed by matching symbols.
Swipe your finger horizontally across the scrolling symbols. Matching three or more of the symbols will destroy part of the computer. But they don’t always have to match. Four or more different symbols will also do the trick (though you may waste time actually looking for such an instance).
Matching three clock symbols or making a match in general will add more time to the timer.
Getting a match is a little tricky. Even though you may see three of a kind lined up, it’s almost as if you need to swipe the moment the symbols align and not a second later. Though this isn’t always true because sometimes you can get in a match just before they move away.
Whether you defeat Enigma or let humanity suffer at the metal hands of robotic overlords, your final score can be shared via Facebook or Twitter.
This game reminds me a lot of the classic Milton Bradley board game “The Omega Virus.” Those unfamiliar with the game were most likely not a child during the 1990s, but its main distinction was having a malicious virus taunting the players. I think if this app added the same kind of computer banter (“You human scum!”), it would add to the game’s entertainment.
At first I was a little leery of playing this game because I thought it would be a Mastermind-type game. However, this app is actually a test in reflexes. I think this app is fairly priced at $0.99, though you can always give it a shot with the lite version if you’re not sure.
