Bad Week Ahead For Netflix Streaming Customers

February 27, 2012
For Netflix streaming customers, this will not be a happy week. Tomorrow is the final day Starz and Encore titles will be available through the video service. Beginning Wednesday, hundreds of popular titles will no longer be available for streaming purposes. According to Gizmodo, among the titles going missing include: Toy Story 3, Tron: Legacy, That Thing You Do!, Elizabeth, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Peter Pan, Scarface, Apocalypto, Hackers, JFK, Teen Wolf, Scream, Airheads, Twins, Tank Girl, Rumble in the Bronx, Spy Hard, Airport and The Nutty Professor. These titles will still be available through Netflix's more traditional DVD service. In September, Starz announced that its three-year streaming deal with Netflix would be allowed to expire in February. The premium movie service provides Netflix with titles from Disney and CBS, among others. Priced at $7.99 per month, Netflix’s streaming service is available through a number of devices including the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad through free apps. Will this news mean no more Netflix streaming in your household?
