Shape Services has done a good job with continued enhancements to their social-networking client app, (M+. Today, both the “lite” IM+ and IM+ Pro iOS apps have expanded localization and social network support, plus a little extra love in the form of a new Valentine’s Day-themed wallpaper.
Both IM+ and IM+ Pro already support more than a dozen social networks. Amongst the many U.S. services, Shape has chosen to embrace overseas networks like VKontakte and Yandex IM. Joining the international list, IM+ v6.2 adds the Russia-based Odnoklassniki.Ru, a service focused on reuniting those who were classmates in the former Soviet Republics, and Renren, the “Facebook of China.” Beyond network integration expansion, IM+ v6.2 also brings along overall support for the Arabic, Turkish, and Polish languages.
The other significant addition to IM+ this time around is a fourth theme, which is really a wallpaper. Nitpicking aside, the theme is a nice change. The image is of a couple sitting on a bench sharing a look of a moonlit city skyline. The Sweethearts theme is available as a free download by selecting it in Settings –> View –> Themes.
Further changes in IM+ and IM+ Pro v6.2 include:
• New set of smileys in Beep
• Bug fixes and interface improvements
