In Japan, 'iTunes In The Cloud' Appears, Match Launching Soon?

February 22, 2012
It looks like Apple is in the process of launching its cloud-based music services, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match, in Japan. Already, as Macotakara notes, iTunes in the Cloud's "Purchased" tab - via which iCloud users can access their previously purchased iTunes music - has appeared within both the desktop iTunes application and the iOS Music app. Because of this, Apple fans are expecting iTunes Match to also launch in Japan in the immediate future. Apple first launched iTunes Match in the United States in November last year, with the service rolling out internationally almost exactly one month later. Potential pricing for iTunes Match in Japan isn't yet known, though Apple did adjust its pricing in Japan to better match the U.S. dollar, back in July last year. We'll let you know once the service launches, so be sure to check back with us.
