The iPad 2: Thinner, Lighter, Faster ... Now Cheaper

Customers eying an iPad 2 and want a discount too are in luck.
Beginning this week, Best Buy is offering new iPad 2 models at a $50 discount. The sale, which began nationwide on Sunday, comes ahead of the rumored iPad 3 release, which is expected on March 7.
First released in March, the iPad 2 includes a dual-core A5 chip, two cameras and the ability to record HD video. In the last quarter, Apple sold 15.43 million iPad 2s, a 111 percent increase over the year-ago-quarter.
This is Best Buy’s first iPad 2 discount since last November, when the company offered a $45 per unit discount during Black Friday weekend.
