FidMe is a lifestyle app that allows you to store digital copies of your loyalty cards right on your iPhone or iPod touch, so whenever you reach the cash register you can simply whip out your iDevice and have the cashier scan the barcode on the screen instead of fumbling around with your wallet.
After signing up for a free FidMe account within the app, you can get right to creating digital copies of your loyalty cards. You can browse through the large scrolling alphabetical list of businesses to find the one you're looking for, or you can simply type the name of the business into the search field at the top of the screen. Once discovered, you'll be required to input your name and then scan the barcode on the physical copy of your loyalty card using your iPhone's camera. FidMe will then automatically record and create a digital version of the barcode, and then store it for safekeeping.
If your loyalty card doesn't have a barcode, or if you're using an iPod touch that's not equipped with a camera, you can just enter the information manually. You can repeat this process over and over again until you have your entire loyalty card library stored within your iDevice.
All of your loyalty cards are readily available on FidMe's main screen. If you find yourself needing one loyalty card more often than the others, you can rearrange them manually, otherwise you'll simply see them in alphabetical order. Tapping on a listing will immediately bring up the digital version of the loyalty card, which can be viewed in portrait or landscape orientations.
But that's really only a small taste of what FidMe has to offer. It also includes a handful of ways to earn FidMe points, like by checking in at your favorite stores, scanning stamps, and by sponsoring your friends. FidMe includes a variety of themes to choose from as well, along with the ability to set a passcode, lock the screen when displaying your loyalty card, and receive push notifications for deals from your favorite stores.
