Apple Updates Reuse And Recycle Program To Accept iPad 2

March 14, 2012
Add Apple to the list of places to trade-in your used iPad 2. We previously reported on some of the places you could trade-in your old tablet in preparation for Friday’s launch of the Retina-enabled version. But now Apple has updated its Reuse and Recycling program so you can trade-in your old iPad 2. Apple is offering around $205 for a good condition 16GB Wi-Fi version. A 64GB Wi-Fi/3G variant in good condition will fetch you around $320. Other iPads in less-than-stellar condition will receive less. With the program, users will receive an Apple gift card in return. That may be a turn off for some who don’t want to limit their purchasing options. Other sites like Gazelle do offer cash, but for amounts a little less than what Apple is quoting. Have you traded in your iPad or iPad 2 yet to purchase the new version? What service did you use, and how much did you get?
