Angry Birds Space: 50 Million Downloads In 35 Days

Calling Angry Birds Space “one of the fastest growing games ever,” Rovio announced today that their fourth installment in the birds vs. pigs franchise has been downloaded 50 million times across multiple platforms, according to iDownload Blog.   First launched on March 22, Angry Bird Space reached its latest milestone just 35 days after it arrived for the iPhone/iPod touch, iPad, Mac, PC, and Android. The game reached the ten million downloads milestone in three days. To celebrate, Rovio is promising “something even bigger is on its way.” Check out this video:   Angry Birds Space recently saw the release of its first update. Last week, we told you that Homer Simpson could be making an appearance in a future release. The game now includes 20 free Space Eagles, plus an extra Space Eagle by logging into the game each day. In addition, Version 1.1 includes a new planet called Fry Me to the Moon, which contains ten new levels. Angry Birds Space ($0.99) and Angry Birds Space HD ($2.99) are available now in the App Store.
