Tango the orangutan is enjoying a nice afternoon with his simian sweetheart when an evil homo sapiens appears out of nowhere and snatches her. Poor Tango. They haven’t even finished drinking their glasses of juice! Now he must travel far and wide to chase the villain and rescue his beau. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have anyone to tango with, would he?
That’s the story behind the new iOS puzzle arcade game Tango Chase, whose launch trailer is shown below. Tango Chase is actually a spinoff game from the superhero online world of Herotopia, in which Tango serves as an ever faithful sidekick. Now, Tango gets to be nobody’s sidekick in his own game and sets out to kick some butt all in the name of love … and bananas!

For Tango to be successful in his quest, you must tilt your device and swipe down on the screen appropriately as you let him swing and drop through each of the 72 vertically scrolling levels in the game. These levels are set across six dangerous environments, including a jungle, a canyon, a factory, and an old ruin. Gather all the bananas and collect coins and gems to be able to acquire power-ups and upgrades from the in-game shop, where more coins are also available.
Playable on both iPhone and iPad, Tango Chase is available in the App Store as an ad-supported free-to-play game. Care to help Tango reclaim his tango partner?
