Moskeez ($0.99) by PopAppFactory is a new game from PopAppFactory, creator of beautiful iOS games. In fact, I have written about a number of these gems. For example, Tangram Puzzles, Memory, and MosaicHD are intended for young children, but the gorgeous graphics and smooth gameplay kept me entertained for a little while as well. Peekaboo: Find Hidden Fun UFO Characters is yet another visually pleasing app; this one has both iPhone and iPad versions. And now, finally, PopAppFactory has applied their classy aesthetic to a logic game for adults and older children!
Upon opening the app, tap “Help” for a quick run-down of how the game is played. Tap “Options” to toggle the sounds and music on/off and choose your skin: white, black, or metal. Then tap “Play,” and choose your level.
The object of the game is to eliminate all of the numbered markers. Tap any two matching markers in the same row or column to combine them. But be careful, order counts. The first one you tap will go into the second one, so be sure to keep that in mind when planning out your future moves. As you successfully navigate each level, you move up to the next one, each being a little bit more complicated than the last. You have the option to skip up to five levels if you need to.
Moskeez will be staying on my iPhone even after my review is completed. It’s an elegant and challenging yet simple casual game.
