Shaun The Sheep's Fleece Lightning Striking In The App Store Soon
Like his friends Wallace and Gromit, Shaun the sheep is no stranger to the App Store. He and the hit kids' television show in which he stars have inspired a number of apps, and another one is about to be added to that herd. Chillingo, one of the biggest iOS game developing and publishing companies, is scheduled to release Fleece Lightning, a cute, little racing game starring the silent yet smart sheep. As shown in the teaser trailer below, Fleece Lightning begins with Shaun minding his own business, grazing the tufts of grass on the farm he and his barnyard friends have long called home. But this farm is also home to a gang of pigs, whom fans of the show, kids and adults alike, know to be the bad guys. In Fleece Lightning, their role is no different. They spot Shaun and, being the mischievous lot that they are, they taunt him. What ensues is a race through the farm, a nail-biting contest to determine which species has the upper hand, or the upper hoof, as it were. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Fleece Lightning features the distinct style of animation pioneered by Shaun's creator, Aardman, the same studio that won the Oscar for best animated feature in 2005 for ”Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.” It has over 80 obstacle-filled courses through which Shaun and his porcine rivals must race if a true victor is to come out of the competition. Designed for both iPhone and iPad, Fleece Lightning is coming soon to the App Store.
