A few days ago, we reported on the CarTunes Music Player v5.0 release. The update provided some great enhancements, but also took away a few features. Not even a week later and the app has been updated again, adding a couple of those features back and fixing some bugs.
While not creating too much backlash, the removal of customization options from CarTunes was met with at least a few mentions. While not all customization options have returned, CarTunes once again offers font themes, seven in total, plus time indicator and cover art view for album browsing toggles.
The new, or should I say restored, preferences are available in the Appearance section of the settings area, As a reminder, the CarTunes settings have been moved tot he iOS Settings app.
In addition to the feature restoration, Oksenhorn has addressed some of the glitches that have come up, including the quick scroll bar for artist listings issue I noticed.
Personally, I back the decision to make the bold font the default and prefer the cover art view when browsing by album, although, making them optional is most definitely a win for everyone.
CarTunes Music Player is designed for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later, and available in the App Store for $4.99.
