New SlideShark Version Features Faster Conversion Of PowerPoint Slides

May 16, 2012
Brainshark has released an update to its SlideShark app that allows for proper viewing and sharing PowerPoint presentations on your iPad. Version 1.6 includes three new features. First, presenter mode allows iPad 2 and new iPad users to plug in a projector or TV to simultaneously view slide notes, timers for individual slides and the entire presentation length, an animation counter, and current/previous/next slides. With the mode, the audience sees the presentation in a full screen. The update also adds support for the projector and TV mode for users of the original iPad. Finally, the app features dramatically faster conversions. Using new processing improvements, users can upload and convert their presentations three to five times faster than before. The SlideShark app for the iPad can be downloaded in the App Store for free. There are varying levels of the SlideShark service, though. For individuals, you can store up to 100 MB of presentations for free. Plans for $49 and $98 per year, respectively, add different amounts of storage and allow users to track viewing of shared slides. A $149 per year team account can be used for two or more people and has a 5 GB storage limit. On the plus side, no Internet connection is needed while presenting with the app.
