Sketch W Friends Receives Major Update, Plus Win A Copy

May 23, 2012
When I first looked at Sketch W Friends back in December of last year, Words With Friends was still pretty popular and Draw Something wasn’t even something at that point. My comments back then focused on the app’s lack of users: namely, how could you play a multiplayer game if there was only the one player? It seems the developers have reflected quite a bit on this app because its new version is hardly recognizable when compared against the previous version. Instead of signing on to OpenFeint and hoping someone else had done the same, you can now sign on with Facebook and there are differently themed rooms to participate in (two of which don’t even require another player). The gameplay mechanics have been addressed, too, in regards to scoring. A built-in leaderboard keeps tabs on who’s who in the world of drawing guessing. This game has definitely come a long way toward becoming a masterpiece. While there is a free version of this app, the paid way is always the best to go. So, how about a giveaway? GIVEAWAY: We have 10 copies of Sketch With Friends to give to our readers. Five of the codes are for the iPad version and the other five are for the iPhone. Simply leave a comment on this post about which version you would like by Thursday May 24, 4 p.m. EDT, and we'll pick the winners randomly. Good luck!
