AppAdvice has once again teamed up with Word Magic Software in order to offer you a chance to win one of six promo codes for English-Spanish Unabridged Dictionary ($24.99) for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.
Claimed to be the “the largest English-Spanish dictionary in existence,” Word Magic Software’s English-Spanish Unabridged Dictionary contains nearly two million translations, more than two and a half million synonyms, and a very large catalog of common phrases,
Whether the largest amount of core content or not, this particular dictionary, thesaurus, and translation tool appears to be one of the most feature-rich products. The app offers everything from live word searches and suggestions to all conjugations, tenses, and localizations.
In addition to dynamic results as you type, the search tool spell checks, provides possible words in both languages, displays tenses, and even offers idiomatic expressions. Words are easily distinguishable by the country flag, including identical word entries for each language, which often times have vastly different definitions.
Once a word is chosen, there are all kinds of details to utilize. Along with the definition(s), basic word categorization, and translations, entries may also contain descriptive tags, usage, specific word categorization, images, examples, synonyms, and antonyms. Of course, verbs include all conjugations and tenses.
Taking things a step further, Word Magic Software has integrated social network sharing, text to speech with multiple voice choices per language and speed adjustment, bookmarking favorite words and phrases, search history, appearance themes, flag selection, and entry detail customization.
The English-Spanish Unabridged Dictionary does require an Internet connection for spell checking, image display, and text to speech for pronunciation assistance.
