AOC's Aire iPlay Monitor Features A Built-In iDevice Dock For Seamless Media Playback
Well, this isn't something you see too often. Taiwan-based AOC has just launched the new Aire iPlay monitor that features a built-in iDevice dock right in its base for seamless audio, video, and photo playback. From the Aire iPlay's listing on Amazon:
The elegant and energy efficient Aire Monitor with Docking Station features a sleek design with a black bezel and white back that complements Apple's stylish products. The 12.9 mm-thin monitor's modern design is accompanied by impressive image quality with Full HD 1080p resolution, a 50,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio and 2ms response time. The monitor's Dynamic Contrast Boost feature creates five different color enhancement settings and allows for color adjustment in highlighted areas. In addition to the 30 pin dock connector, which will also charge your iDevice, this 23-inch LCD monitor also features HDMI, DVI, and RGB D-sub inputs. The Aire iPlay also packs built-in 10-watt speakers. I wouldn't expect them to be anything better than decent, but at least you aren't restricted to headphones. Of course, there are other ways to share your iDevice's content on a bigger screen. You can use Apple's official digital AV adapter ($39), or AirPlay. Of course, an Apple TV is required for the latter. But, if cables and connectors are just too much of a hassle, then the Aire iPlay is just for you. You can get yourself this all-in-one monitor from Amazon for $229.99 (down from $279). Source: AOC Via: 9to5Mac
