I’ve seen some pictures floating around the Internet of people who draw on their fingers and position them for humorous effect. Some draw finger people who are embracing, and others sketch them as taking hostages. Cool Finger Faces lets you digitally draw finger faces using your iDevice. You know, before you get that Sharpie fine-line permanent ink all over your hands. There’s only so many times you can wash your hands before you start removing layers of skin.
Cool Finger Faces has different categories for what you want on your fingers. Just tap on the picture in the menu, and position it on the picture. You can rotate and resize by pinching the picture. To reverse the picture, you tap on it. If you want to draw the faces or accessories yourself, you have to buy the full version for $1.99. I know, I’m not a fan of in-app purchases either, but there are plenty of faces and accessories in the free version as well. It isn’t like the developers gave you two or three to begin with. There are also cool features like whether you want your picture in color or monochrome. Trying to pull off a monochrome effect in real life would be rather difficult.
I’m a mom with small kids. I spend a lot of energy telling them to not draw on themselves. Regardless of how funny or adorable I think finger faces are, if I start drawing on my hands, they will start drawing on themselves as well. Cool Finger Faces lets me draw on my digital fingers without having to look like a hypocrite in front of my impressionable kids. Another bonus to using the app is the ability to plan out exactly what you want your fingers to look like before you take the marker to them. If you take a picture of your own fingers, you can plan where things like the arms need to go to make it look like your fingers are embracing or choking each other. Failing to properly plan your finger art could result in it looking horrible.
