In most of these games, you create words by selecting letters randomly generated and placed in a grid or line-up. It’s certainly challenging and enjoyable, but Long Dog Games wanted to add a little more excitement.
Along with the difficulty of attempting to construct the longest words possible, Letricel requires you to hunt the tiles down in an action arcade-style manner. Use a finger to drag the character, a disc shaped object with double arrows, to acquire letter tiles and assemble words.
You must collect the tiles in the proper order, they can’t be re-arranged later, and do so within 60 seconds. Once you’ve created a word, perform a two finger tap to submit it and reset the timer. If you make a mistake, there is a Release button, however, it releases all gathered letter tiles.
An increase of the score multiplier can be achieved by successfully creating words within 30 seconds of a timer reset. Although, “Effect” tiles may appear that will temporarily grant a large score multiplier, freeze the countdown timer, allow effortless letter selection, and more.
All of this boils down to working hard to stimulate those brains cells for a few moments or several hours of enjoyment, plus best your friends and other players by climbing the Game Center leaderboards and accomplishing all of the Game Center achievement objectives.
