Fotopedia And Expedia Announce New Partnership

July 11, 2012
Fotopedia, the publisher of popular iOS apps, and Expedia, one of the largest online travel agencies, have announced a new collaboration. The new partnership brings direct access to Expedia hotels into two of Fotopedia’s most popular travel apps: Fotopedia Paris and Fotopedia Japan. An Expedia icon is now available on every image within these Fotopedia apps, giving people the ability to view the hotels near the landmark they are currently viewing and reserve a room. Touching the Expedia icon switches the user to the Expedia Hotels app with the single click of a button.   According to Jean-Marie Hullot, CEO of Fotopedia:
We have heard over and over that our apps create travel envy. We are proud to now incorporate direct access to Expedia Hotels into our apps and help our users go one step beyond as they explore the world.
In recent months, Fotopedia's apps have gotten a number of new features. These include Retina display support for the new iPad, as well as the inclusion of Visual Stories, a way to see the world one story at a time.
