Homescreen.me Opens Sign Ups To Everyone

July 20, 2012
After a long period of testing, Homescreen.me is now accepting signups from anyone interested in joining. As the name suggests, the site is a very fun and interesting place that allows users to share photos of their iOS device home screens – including the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Users need to take a screenshot of their device’s home screen to upload to the service. Everyone has a very nice page that shows off their devices and allows room for comments on the specific app choices. I just signed up for the service, and found it very quick and easy to do. You can even just email your screenshot directly from an iOS device, which does make things simple. I’m not exactly proud of my overly cluttered iPhone home screen, so I like that there are search functions to explore what other users are doing with that precious amount of real estate. If you’d like to see my iPhone, you can take a look at my profile page here. For a look at someone who really knows her home screen, you can also take a look at our very own Jamie Young, who recently launched the Home Screen Peep Show feature here on AppAdvice.
