As our readers will know, when a banner notification appears on an iPhone handset, the banner encroaches onto the handset’s screen and covers content displayed in any given open application. However, once CoverMeNot has been downloaded and installed, when banner notifications appear the iPhone’s status bar doubles, meaning banners don’t cover any section of the smartphone’s screen beneath the double-sized status bar.
