Safari Download Manager – the popular jailbreak tweak that allows users to download files from Safari, onto their iDevice – has recently been updated, and is finally compatible with Apple’s iOS 5 mobile operating system, as iDownloadBlog reports.

As we previously reported, here’s what you can expect from the jailbreak tweak:

Safari Download Manager allows users to download pretty much anything they encounter on the Web. By default, files are saved to /var/mobile/Media/Downloads – however, this directory can be changed. Once you’ve downloaded a file to your iPhone, you can then access that file using a desktop app like iPhone Explorer or DiskAid.

However, the tweak was previously incompatible with iOS 5-powered iDevices, despite the operating system having been available for a long time now. Fortunately, Safari Download Manager’s developer, Dustin Howett, has updated the tweak for iOS 5 – something many jailbreakers will certainly appreciate.

Below, we’ve included a video on the tweak provided by iDownloadBlog. Take a look at the latest version of Safari Download Manager now, and start downloading files on your iOS 5-powered jailbroken iDevice!
