A new update to the iOS physics puzzler Pebble Universe is expected to be introduced soon.
Released last March, Pebble Universe is a game based on the story of a group of pebbles and their enemies, the soot-black one-eyed floating monsters.
The monsters consider the pebbles part of their daily diet. So, the poor pebbles are left to defend themselves from their hovering predators.
As it happens, the pebbles explode when they bump their shelled heads into one another. On that account, Pebble Universe’s basic gameplay requires you to make pebbles collide such that their debris ends up damaging the monsters.

The upcoming new world, which is teased in the video above, is called The Factory. According to Pebble Universe creator Itatake:
The Factory is an unfriendly place where the soot-lump monsters have increased in number. This is their food storage and hundreds of friendly pebbles are locked up, waiting to be eaten! But with skill and timing, the players will help the pebbles to fight the monsters and take another step closer to freedom.
Designed for both iPhone and iPad, Pebble Universe is available in the App Store for only $0.99.
Aside from the new game world, Pebble Universe is also set to gain a new game character in the person of Cluster Pebble.
What’s so special about Cluster Pebble, you ask? Well, you just have to wait and see for yourself when the forthcoming Pebble Universe update arrives on Aug. 16.
