If you’re like me, you’ve got more than a few weather apps on your iOS device. But a recently released app provides a unique, historical perspective on the weather.
Voodoo Skies Normal or Not? is a great way to help shed light on the weather pattern at your location. The app has an extensive database of millions of weather observations from thousands of weather sources all over the world.
And unlike other weather prediction or forecasting apps, the app compares the current forecast of your location to previous weather observations for the same day of the year in history.
The interface is very simple and intuitive. When the app starts up, it displays today’s temperature information. You can swipe left to see the difference between today and tomorrow’s information. Swiping up and down shows rainfall data.
Voodoo Skies Normal or Not? is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch but is compatible with the iPad. It can be downloaded for free in the App Store. While I thought I couldn’t possibly add any more weather apps to my iPhone, I was really liked the unique aspect of the app, and will keep it around.
