Dynamic App Design, the makers of Metronome +, are on a mission to put their app in the hands of every iOS-using musician around. To help spread the word, they’ve teamed up with AppAdvice again to give away ten copies of their popular music app.

Metronome+, which is priced at $1.99, recently received a big update that includes a complete redesign. Now, the time-keeper sports a sexy blue light, instead of that old orange one it used to wear. Orange clashed with its hair, anyway. This new color really brings out its eyes. It also dons a slightly lighter tone and black font instead of white. Think of the Metronome+ makeover as going from an iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 4.

With this app, musicians can select pre-programmed time meters, including complex rhythms like 9/8 and 5/4. There are also four rhythm subdivisions, quarters, eighths, sixteenths, and triplets. Users can adjust the beat accent in relation to all four different subdivisions as well.

There are six different click sounds, including traditional ticks and woodblock sounds, as well as digital beeps and claves.

You can adjust your tempo from a slow largo of 30, all the way up to the punk rock prestissimo of 300. If you know what tempo you want to play in your head, but don’t know the number speed, tap the screen three times to trigger Tap Tempo mode and set the speed manually.

Dynamic App Design recently released an ad-supported lite version of Metronome+, which includes 4/4 timing, a digital beep click sound and the full range of a 30 to 300 beat tempo.

If you would like to win a copy of the full version of Metronome+, please leave a comment below. Entries must be received no later than Aug. 12 at 11:59 p.m. CDT. If you want to check out a sample of what Metronome+ is like, download the lite version in the App Store.
