Australians, Steve Wozniak Welcome The iPhone 5

Aussies, thanks to their place on the map, are the first in the world to experience the iPhone 5. Apple's sixth-generation iPhone went on sale at 8 a.m. local time, according to News.com.au. Among those first in line at the Apple retail store in Chermside, Queensland was Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. Take a look:

In addition to Australia, the iPhone 5 launches on Friday in the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. The new handset will roll out worldwide to 22 more countries on Sept. 28, including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
