According to the folks behind Quote.fm, a couple of days ago was their biggest day so far. The reason? A couple of days ago, Quote.fm for iPad was finally released.

Quote.fm already works well on an iPad Web browser. But, as might be expected, it works much better on a native app.

Quote.fm for iPad offers the core functions of the up-and-coming reading recommendation site with the convenience of a native touchscreen tablet app.

With the app, you can recommend articles to your friends and followers with a short excerpt. You can also follow other users to see their own recommendations or discover stories that are trending on the Web.

If you see an article you’re interested in, you can read it right away, clutter-free. Alternatively, you can save it for reading later even when you’re offline.

Furthermore, you can share your recommendations on Facebook, Twitter, Instapaper, Pocket, and Readability.

Quote.fm for iPad also includes the following key features:

  • Social Reading: Activate SocialReadingMode™ when you are reading an article and you’ll see who recommended it and what they had to say. Jump right into the conversation and talk about your favorite stories on the spot.
  • ERT™: The Estimated Reading Time Indicator shows how long you’ll need to finish the article.
  • Source pages and article pages: See which article is the most recommended on any given website.

The all-new Quote.fm for iPad is available now in the App Store for free. Download the app and start quoting and recommending articles right on your iPad.
